The Vanderhoof Chamber of Commerce and Info Centre is moving into the Smithers house on Thursday.
The move has been over five years in the making, and Visitor Service Coordinator Spencer Siemens says the Centre’s new home will be more accessible for everyone.
“We should get more of an influx of tourists that stop into the Info Centre that can get information on Vanderhoof and the surrounding area,” he says, “also (we’ll) be working with the museum with any summer projects and stuff like that.”
Siemens hopes to have the Centre up and running early next week.
There’s no word yet on what will happen to the old building.
