Air Quality Advisory in Vanderhoof

The Ministry of Environment issued an Air Quality Advisory in Vanderhoof Wednesday afternoon.

Around 4 PM, lingering air pollutants (31 µg/m3), were well above the Provincial threshold (25 µg/m3).

Anyone with chronic medical conditions should avoid strenuous outdoor activities until the advisory is lifted.

The Ministry asks residents to stop using wood stoves and fireplaces if possible and avoid idling your vehicle.
