Nechako Valley Secondary School taking part in Pink T-Shirt Day

An array of pink can be found at Nechako Valley Secondary School.

It’s in support of Pink T-Shirt Day to help combat the issue of bullying.

Teacher, Anna Pye says the event has become popular in Canada.

“It’s become sort of a thing as the students are very aware of it and they are really standing up to bullying especially cyber-bullying which has become one of those issues and has become new to raising kids and students in the school

A group of grade 6 students from Nova Scotia wore pink t-shirts to school after a fellow student was bullied for wearing pink.

The last day to get a pink shirt is Friday and you can get one for $20 through the community site or through the NVSS website.
