PG Spruce King Show Home winner shocked to win new home

What was a purchase to support the Prince George Spruce Kings, Claire Keehn didn’t think her name would be drawn for the Spruce Kings Show Home.

Keehn and her husband had bought the ticket while out Christmas shopping, though aren’t ones to use money on lotteries.

As for how she found out she won, Keehn said she forgot when the draw was supposed to happen.

“I ended up getting a call, and normally I don’t answer numbers I don’t know, but then my cousin started calling me at the same time, so I answer it and I was shocked. Absolutely shocked.”

Keehn said when she was a kid, her family used to billet for a Spruce King player, which part of the reason why she supports the team.

She said it’s important to support local, especially sports teams, local businesses, and anything else that helps the local community.

As for what the plan is for Keehn and her family, she said they have a lot to talk about, but see themselves living in the home.
