Prince George’s unemployment rate takes a big drop in April

The unemployment rate in Prince George dropped significantly since last month.

Labour Division analyst Vince Ferrao told MyPGNow.com the unemployment rate in Prince George dropped to 5.3 per cent, down from 6.4 per cent a month ago.

“In Prince George, we had about 53,600 people working this April” Ferrao said.

“A year ago, it was about 49,000, so there was an increase in employment and a decline in the unemployment rate over the past 12 months.”
