The Fort St. John RCMP says one person has died following reports of gunfire.
Last night (Monday) at 7:38, Mounties received multiple calls reporting that several vehicles were engaged in what appeared to be a car chase between at least three vehicles.
Witnesses reported hearing and seeing gunshots exchanged between the vehicles as they travelled from 100th Avenue south on 90th Street.
According to police, at least two residences in the area were struck by the gunfire.
A deceased male, who is believed to have been part of the incident, was located in a vehicle near 97th Avenue and 90th Street.
The Fort St. John RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance in the investigation, and is asking anyone who was in the area near the time of the incident, who may have doorbell cameras, home security cameras or dashboard cameras to call the RCMP.
