The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako has expanded the evacuation order near the Finger Lake wildfire.
Included in the expansion are all lands and properties accessed by the Bobtail Connector Forest Service Road, and the 600 Road Forest Service Road south of the Meridian Road/Vanderhoof Ecological Reserve.
This includes the Meridian Road/Vanderhoof Ecological Reserve, the Chilako River Ecological Reserve, a portion of Finger-Tatuk Park, and several provincial recreation sites.
As of yesterday (Friday), the fire is an estimated 270 hectares.
