Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the Vanderhoof area.
They are calling for 5-10 cm of snow and strong winds upwards of 50 km/h tonight for 2-3 hours.
This is on top of yesterday’s 15-20cm prediction for highway 97 and the Pine Pass.
Temperatures will also start to drop tonight, ushering in a cold snap next week.
They predict temperatures will drop to -5 with the snow and the wind tonight, by Wednesday (November 30) night it could get as low as -21 during the day and -32 overnight.
