Voter turnout for the Vanderhoof municipal election was up nearly 12% from four years ago.
According to unofficial results from Civic Info BC, 1,600 ballots were cast in the election out of an estimated 3,215 eligible voters.
That’s 49.7% of the estimated voters.
According to a Civic Info BC spokesperson, their unofficial and preliminary estimated eligible voter turnout for municipalities province wide was approximately 29.2%.
In the 2018 Vanderhoof municipal election, 1,155 votes were tallied, making up about 37.2% of eligible voters that year.
