The Province is reporting 2,441 new cases of COVID-19, and a daily record for the fourth consecutive day.
The new cases bring the active total in BC to 10,415. Of the active cases 192 individuals are in hospital, and 71 are in intensive care.
Of the new cases, 66 were in Northern Health, and there are now 236 active cases in the region.
To date, 1,613 cases of the Omicron variant have been confirmed in BC, including four in Northern Health.
Four new deaths are also being reported, including one in Northern Health.
91.8% of people 12 and older have received a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, 89% have received a second dose, and 17% have received a third.

In the past 24 hours, four new deaths have been reported, for an overall total of 2,414.

From Dec. 16-22, people not fully vaccinated accounted for 21.9% of cases and from Dec. 9-22 they accounted for 67.2% of hospitalizations.
