There is an air quality advisory is in effect in Vanderhoof.
The advisory was issued around 4 PM because of high concentrations of fine particulates (PM2.5) in the air.
Particulate levels currently sit at 24 µg/m3 (micrograms per cubic metre), just over the Provincial threshold of 25 µg/m3. The Ministry of Environment and Northern Health expect the particulate to linger until Thursday.
The Ministry recommends that residents avoid strenuous outdoor activities.
