Nechako Valley Historical Society reinstated, looking to elect new board

A second chance at success has been granted to the Nechako Valley Historical Society.

The organization was reinstated on November 1 and Tom Bulmer says they’re ready to re-load.

“The Historical Society is ready to rebuild. We want as many people as possible who have history in this town or a family that has history including anyone who has enjoyed an event at the museum seeing what a wonderful place it can be.”

Bulmer adds the re-birth would not have been possible without the contributions of Heather Stephens and one other person.

“Heather did an extraordinary amount of work on that and she teamed up with Lori Egli with the District of Vanderhoof and she also put her back into it and out in a lot of work. Without those two ladies we would not be where we are right now.”

A meeting to elect a board has been set for January 17.

Bulmer adds they want a strong membership of people who want to see the museum thrive.
