The winners of the latest Lotto 6/49 jackpot have come out of the rural community of McLeod Lake.
Victor and Beverly Chingee purchased their ticket in the MacKenzie Mall, and were announced as the winners of $500,000 on September 16th.
Victor explains his reaction to hearing the good news.
“It was a very surprising for me because we’ve been buying tickets for a long time. Basically just another day for me, so we’ll continue with the same things every day.”
They also have no plans to stop participating in more draws.
“Well I actually bought a ticket just yesterday,” chuckled Victor.
“I even bought a ticket the same day I won the jackpot, so yes I do still plan on buying tickets for the future.”
The Chingees plan on paying off some bills, renovating their home, and even buying a new car.
