BC’s Combined Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU-BC) has made an arrest in connection to the theft of thousands of dollars worth of property stolen from residents evacuated from wildfires in the area.
Police say their investigation led them to a property in the Beaver Creek area, outside of Williams Lake.

Approximately $65,000 worth of heavy equipment was located.
38-year-old Big Lake resident Shane Brady has now been charged with Possession of Stolen Property with a higher value than $5,000.
His next court date is slated for Thursday.
The investigation also involved members of the Burnaby RCMP Strike Force, the BC Conservation Service, and the RCMP’s ‘E’ Division North District Federal and Serious Organized Crime Unit.
