Province to unveil women’s transition housing project in PG

A new transitional housing project for women is set to open in Prince George.

The new facility, located on 567 Union Street will be unveiled to the public during a news conference tomorrow (Wednesday).

According to BC Housing, the unique program includes a 22-bed transition house along with 12 second stage housing units for women with children either at-risk or have experienced gender-based violence.

Parliamentary Secretary for Gender Equity Kelli Paddon will be in attendance as well as representatives from Pacific Mountain Regional Council, Trinity United Church and, the City of Prince George.
