The BC Liberals are on the verge of getting a new name.
Party Leader Kevin Falcon announced today (Wed) that members voted 80% in favour to change it to BC United.
Over 8-thousand members participated in the vote, which wrapped up last night (Tuesday).
In June, the Liberals engaged in a province-wide consultation following a convention where the majority of delegates voted in favor of a new name.
The next steps will now include a ratification process to its constitution, which will be part of a convention set to take place in the new year.
Promise made by @KevinFalcon promise kept! Exciting to have our members make the decision and keep the momentum building . . . https://t.co/FEr1un12Hg
