82-hundred health care complaints made in BC over past year: Ombudsperson

B-C’s Ombudsperson says issues involving health care led to the list of complaints filed with his office in the past year.

Jay Chalke added there were more than 82 hundred complaints made and 15 percent of them concerning programs and services offered by the Ministry of Health.

That’s the highest number in the past decade.

Chalke mentioned many of those complaints were from people who felt they had been unfairly treated by COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.

Number two on the list of calls his office received I-C-B-C.
