BC continues to have the lowest jobless rate in Canada at 6.2%.
It’s due in large part to a booming employment sector says Stats Canada Analyst, Andrew Fields. “British Columbia continues to be the fast-growing province in terms of employment. In the month, it was up 15,000 but during the year it’s up 56,000 which is a growth rate of 2.4%.”
The unemployment rate for the Caribou-Prince George region is 7.1% while the national rate is 7.0%
Over 79,000 people within Prince George-Cariboo were employed last month.
