The BC government has put more funding towards tomorrow’s innovators.
Formerly known as the Canadian Youth Business Foundation, “Futurpreneur” received $50,000 Tuesday to hold one-day workshops across the Province.
Coming from the North, Small Business Minister Coralee Oakes understands it can sometimes be hard to seek help. She says she doesn’t want your good ideas to slip away.
“Follow your passion. The success that we see with our economy in British Columbia really is because we have such a diverse group of small businesses and we want to ensure that we’re continuing that,” she says, “I think that’s what’s going to create success.”
Oakes says these workshops are for anyone aged 18 – 39.
Workshop dates have not yet been announced. The most northern one will be held in Prince George.
