A two-vehicle collision along Highway 97 forced a closure for several hours on Wednesday in the South Cariboo.
100 Mile House RCMP investigated the incident 20 kilometres north of Lac La Hache, which is believed to be fatal.
The highway has since re-opened in both directions, but road conditions are still being reported as slippery, with compact snow in the area and limited visibility.
No further details have been released and we’ll bring more information as it becomes available.
This is the second motor-vehicle incident (MVI) along Highway 97 in the Cariboo in less than a week.
A vehicle rolled over near McLeese Lake last Friday, which resulted in the death of a 22-year-old woman.
