Highway 97 re-opens after MVI near Lac La Hache

A two-vehicle collision along Highway 97 forced a closure for several hours on Wednesday in the South Cariboo.

100 Mile House RCMP investigated the incident 20 kilometres north of Lac La Hache, which is believed to be fatal.

The highway has since re-opened in both directions, but road conditions are still being reported as slippery, with compact snow in the area and limited visibility.

No further details have been released and we’ll bring more information as it becomes available.
