BC ended 2015 with a mixed bag when it comes to the latest job numbers.
Stats Canada Labour Force Analyst, Vince Ferrao says the jobless rate saw slight increase from 2014.
“BC ended the year at 6.7% and is an increase of 1.2 percentage points.”
Ferrao adds despite the increase, the amount of people employed did go up.
“We have about 2.33 million people working in the province and that went up by 52,000 or by 2.3%.”
The national jobless rate for 2015 closed at 7.1%.
