Just under 55 thousand people in BC were claiming EI benefits in October.
Stats Canada Analyst, Lahouria Yssaad says the number of recipients remain unchanged from the month prior and there is good reason for it.
“The last few month we have seen good growth here in BC when it comes to employment and that is reflected to the number of beneficiaries.”
The EI rate for Prince George rose 3.4 percent last month to the tune of 1850 people.
