RCMP are reminding hunters to be prepared for any type of excursion in a forested area.
This comes after Search and Rescue personnel were able to find a missing 72-year-old man in the Willow River area off Upper Fraser Road Northeast of Prince George.
Police received the initial report Tuesday morning.
The local man and another hunter had planned to meet up with each other after separating themselves earlier, but one never showed up.
After an unsuccessful search before sundown, Mounties called a SAR helicopter to look again Wednesday morning in the same area, to which he was found safe and in good condition.
Prince George RCMP suggest packing warm clothes, food, water, a first aid kit, and communication equipment when planning to hunt in the back-country.
