Fire does extensive damage to shed and house in Quesnel

The Quesnel Fire Department responded to a fully involved structure fire over the long weekend.

Fire Chief Ron Richert says they were called to the 300 block of Willis Street at around 6:42 on Friday (Sept 4) night.

“Upon arrival, crews had a fully involved structure, a shed which was attached to the house. Crews quickly extinguished the fire to bring it under control.”

Richert says they were on scene for about two hours.

He says there were no injuries as there was no one home at the time, but there was extensive damage done to both the shed and the house.

Richert says the RCMP were involved and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
