Tea time with a strawberry surprise is coming this weekend to the Vanderhoof Community Museum.
A British-style mid-day meal is set to entertain local tea lovers, including strawberry infused tea, shortcake, and other treats.
Heritage Curator Sasha Striegler Iannone says additional events are being planned for the program.
“There is going to be a cream-to-butter demonstration; those are going to be taking place at 12PM and 2PM. We’re also going to have guided tours available by costumed interpreters and volunteers.”
She adds tickets will only cost residents a toonie.
“You just come to the Information Centre, and we would really encourage people to come and purchase their tickets beforehand. It’s just to we have a better idea of how many people are coming so we can prepare the right amount of food and goodies for them.”
The event takes places Saturday from 11AM to 3PM.
