The evacuation area covers 80 parcels for 7198 hectares, and around 79 house points.

The Regional District is urging residents to leave immediately.

The Evacuation Order is because of the French Bar Wildfire, approximately 100 kilometres west of Clinton, and 160 kilometres southwest of 100 Mile House.

The wildfire is approximately 25,299 hectares in size, and was first discovered on July 4.

More information on the Evacuation Order- what to take, where to go- can be found on the Cariboo Regional District’s website.
