Conservative Party Leadership candidate holding PG event Wednesday

One of the major contenders to become the next leader of the Conservative Party of B.C. is making a stop in Prince George.

Former Kamloops Mayor and current MLA Peter Milobar will be holding a meet and greet from the Northern Lights Estate Winery.

It’s being held on Wednesday from 2:30pm to 4pm.

Prince George-Mackenzie MLA Kiel Giddens is also making an appearance.

Milobar, Iain Black, Caroline Elliott, Kerry-Lynne Findlay and Yuri Fulmer squared off in a 90-minute debate over the weekend.

Ballots are now being sent out to more than 42-thousand party members.

Former leader John Rustad resigned in early December and Trevor Halford has been acting leader since that time.

The winner will be announced on May 30th.
