Mounties in Fort St. James hoping to identify possible sexual assault victim

Mounties in Fort St. James are investigating a potential sexual assault.

Just after 9:00 pm on August 30th, the RCMP received a report of a disturbance in the parking lot, park access of Sonny Hamper Park on Stuart Drive.

It was reported a man, believed to be intoxicated, was removed from the Rocket Park Concert, and was presently outside the concert venue.

Police say it was reported the suspect had allegedly groped a woman while she was on the dance floor.

Mounties attended but the suspect was gone when they arrived.

The identity of the suspect was provided to police, but the woman remains identified.

Police are looking to speak to the victim, and anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the Fort St. James RCMP.
