After defeating Liberal Leader Christy Clark in the non-confidence vote last week, NDP MLAs will be sworn in as the next provincial government sooner than expected.
Leader John Horgan will officially take the Premier torch in Government House, 2PM on Tuesday, July 18th.

NDP MLA for Victoria-Beacon Hill and transition spokesperson Carole James says ordinary people have been left behind for too long.
“Help is on the way with a new government that will work for everyone, not just the wealthy and the well-connected.”
James adds cabinet positions will also be announced in the same ceremony.
“We are excited to deliver on our commitments. We’re going to make life more affordable, deliver the services people count on, and create good paying jobs around the province in a sustainable economy that works for everyone.”
The swearing-in however means BC will not have a representative at the Council of the Federation meetings, which take place July 17th to 19th in Edmonton.
