PG RCMP catch prolific offender after string of crimes

Police in Prince George got their man following a break-and-enter spree downtown.

Between Monday, September 2 and Wednesday, September 4, 2024, the RCMP received multiple reports of such incidents to buildings and vehicles.

The suspect, identified as 43-year-old Allan Douglas Nigh was arrested last week (September 5th) and held for court.

“The key to tying these investigations together was the video surveillance that was quickly made available to our investigators. All of the incidents occurred in the very early hours of the morning, when there are no witnesses around. When businesses and residents can have video surveillance to our investigators within hours of an event occurring, it greatly increases the chances of us identifying and locating a suspect,” stated Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.

The following charges have been approved in these investigations:

  • Break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offense x3
  • Mischief under $5000 x3

Nigh is well-known to police for similar offenses. He will remain in custody until his next court appearance.

These files remain under investigation.
