Parascak signs entry level deal with NHL’s Capitals

Terik Parascak is officially a Washington Capital.

The Cougar forward signed his three-year entry-level deal with the team this morning (Friday) after being drafted in the first round, 17th overall, by the Capitals a week ago at the NHL Draft.

He has been in DC at the Caps’ development camp this week.

Parascak led all CHL rookies in points this season, scoring 43 goals and 62 assists for 105 points in 68 games.

He was one of three Cougars to crack 100 points last season, and just the fifth to do so in team history.

He joins two graduating Cougars in the Capitals organization, Zac Funk signed an entry level deal with the team toward the end of last season, and Hudson Thornton picked up a one year deal with Hershey Bears, the Capitals’ AHL affiliate.
