PG family receiving assistance from Ronald McDonald House in Vancouver

A Prince George family is receiving support from the Ronald McDonald House Charities BC and Yukon branch.

The Chisholm’s 15-year-old son Samuel was diagnosed with a rare form of lymphoma.

Colin and Tina along with Samuel have been staying at Ronald McDonald House for over 400 days with plans to stay intermittently as Samuel continues treatments.

With Father’s Day set for Sunday, Colin recently sent a heartfelt thank you for the support his family has received.

“Your support has allowed my family to remain together through the hardest time in our lives. I honestly cannot imagine what we would have done without RMHC BC & Yukon. Living at the House through this long road of treatment was the only option that made sense,” Chisholm shared.

“One word – relief.”

The ability to cook and store groceries in the kitchens, coupled with the Family Meals program, provides the Chisholm family with much-needed comfort and stability.

Music and massage therapy are among Samuel’s favorite activities, with the family forming strong connections with the dedicated staff and volunteers.

The 13-bedroom house in Vancouver provides support for sick kids and their families who must travel long distances to receive specialized care.
