Parascak, Becher and Laing highly touted in NHL Central Scouting final rankings

The draft-eligible Prince George Cougars have seen some movement in NHL Central Scouting’s rankings.

Terik Parascak is the highest-ranked Prince George Cougar in NHL Central Scouting’s final ranking of the season, among North American skaters.

Parascak dropped one spot to 15th since the midterm rankings.

Parascak enjoyed a 105-point (43G, 62A) regular season with the Cats this season.

Through six playoff games, the 17-year-old has scored five goals and added four assists.

Ondrej Becher, 19, moved up to 69th from 84th.

Becher tallied 96 points (32G, 64A)  in 58 games with the Cats this season, and is currently riding a 25-game point streak.

Hunter Laing is ranked 86th, climbing high from 108th.

Laing notched 25 points (11G, 14A) in 66 games with Prince George this season.

Cayden Lindstrom of Chetwynd stayed put third, and is the highest rated WHL skater on the list.

Lindstrom, a 6′ 3″ centre, played just 32 games with the Medicine Hat Tigers this season, but put up a respectable 46 points (27G, 19A) in those games.

Prince George product Miguel Marques took a big drop to 53rd from 33rd at the midterm mark.

Marques notched 74 points (28G, 46A) in 67 games with the Lethbridge Hurricanes this season.

Finally, Saskatoon netminder Evan Gardner, a product of Fort. St. John, is the seventh ranked North American Goaltender.

In 30 appearances for the Blades this season, Gardner posted a 1.91 GAA, a .927 save percentage and a 21-5 record.

He’s only gotten better in the playoffs, posting a 1.43 GAA, and .933 save percentage, and six wins in six games.
