The Prince George RCMP are investigating another fatal collision involving a pedestrian.
Mounties responded to a collision on Chief Lake Road near Pilot Mountain Road at around 5:00 yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon.
According to police, a pedestrian had been struck and when Emergency Services Personnel arrived, the pedestrian was confirmed to be deceased.
Police say the vehicle did not remain on the scene.
“During the investigation, police learned that a white SUV may have been involved,” said North District RCMP Cpl. Madonna Saunderson in a news release.
“The suspect vehicle would have front end damage and police are looking for any information related to the white SUV or the driver involved.”
Police are looking for footage from security cameras and dash cams along Chief Lake Road near Pilot Mountain Road around the time of the collision.
This is the second fatal collision involving a pedestrian in Prince George in the span of a week.
One week ago (December 13th), a pedestrian was struck and killed on the Hart Highway.
