Northern Health has announced Fort St. James’ hospital will be without an Emergency Department for 24 hours, from 8am Saturday (August 5) to 8am Sunday.
They say this is due to “an unavoidable gap in physician coverage.”
Anyone in the area who may need life-threatening urgent care is being urged to call 9-1-1 for transport to the nearest available facility.
Non-urgent care needs are being directed to Northern Health’s Virtual Clinic at 1-844-645-7811 or online here.
