The Prince George RCMP has confirmed the motor vehicle incident, which shut down Highway 16 West in Beaverly yesterday (Wednesday) resulted in one fatality.
“In consultation with Northern B.C. Highway Patrol, Prince George RCMP is concluding the investigation into this incident. Police officers have determined there was no criminality involved and have turned this matter over to the B.C. Coroners Service, who are conducting their own investigation. Our condolences go out to the family and friends of the deceased,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.
Emergency crews responded to a crash involving a passenger vehicle and a commercial vehicle west of city limits.
The driver of the semi-trailer truck was not injured in the incident.
This investigation is concluded. There will be no further updates.
