The cost of food is expected to continue rising next year but not as fast as we’re seeing currently.
The latest Canada Food Prices report, out today (Monday), is predicting food prices to climb between five and seven percent in 2023.
As of October, food prices had risen by more than ten percent over the previous 12 months.
The report says vegetable prices are expected to see the highest increases between six and eight percent.
However, it says we should see a decline in food inflation by the end of next year.
