Hockey Canada reassessing leadership structure before new board election

Hockey Canada is at a crossroads and need to reimagine its leadership.

That’s from a 221-page report from a review of the organization that was
released today (Friday).

In it, part of the recommendations includes increasing its board from nine to 13 members along with making sure no more than 60 per cent board members are of the same gender.

A new board election is being held next month after a year full of scandals saw the existing board step down.

Hockey Canada has been under fire for using registration fees from children across the country for paying out-of-court-settlements for sexual assault claims.
