Old man winter to bring blast of winter to PG-area tomorrow

Up to 20 centimetres of snow could be on the way as winter is scheduled to make its first appearance in the Prince George/Vanderhoof area.

Environment Canada has issued a Special weather statement for tomorrow (Thursday).

In addition, winds from the southeast of 30 km/h could gust up to 60.

Poor visibility in heavy snow and blowing snow is expected in communities along Hwy 97 from Clinton to Pine Pass.

The snow is expected to end overnight or early Friday morning and transition to rain as the temperature rises
