Strong winds to dominate Highway 97 and the Pine Pass on Thursday

If you’re travelling on Highway 97 through the Pine Pass tomorrow (Thursday), be prepared to be accompanied by some howling winds.

According to Environment Canada, a wind warning is in place for the area. Southwest winds of 70 km/hr with gusts up to 90 could result in some strong crosswinds and potential damage.

The winds will be most present in the morning before dying off in the afternoon.

Impacted areas include Fort St. John, Chetwynd, and Dawson Creek.
