BC gained 23 thousand jobs in October according to Stats Canada.
Labour Market Analyst, Lahouaria Yssaad says they saw a big jump in one category.
“The youth population had some gains in October with about 20 thousand more young people aged 15 to 24 were employed last month.”
Yssaad adds the provincial unemployment rate remained unchanged.
“It remained at 6.3 percent because of a higher number of people looking for work.”
The province ranked second only to Ontario in new jobs who had 29 thousand.
