John Horgan received an early Christmas present from his doctors.
The BC Premier announced this week he expects to make a full recovery following his throat cancer diagnosis earlier this fall.
“I know that I am not alone in this battle, nor is my family. There are families across British Columbia who are experiencing the same challenges dealing with a health crisis along with the various other challenges in our lives,” said Horgan in a video on Facebook.
Horgan had biopsy surgery at the end of October on a growth in his throat where the results showed it was cancerous.
In addition, he began radiation treatments shortly after, which should conclude toward the end of this month.
This isn’t Horgan’s first battle with the disease. Over a decade ago he was diagnosed with bladder cancer.
