Environment Canada today (Monday) issued a Special Weather Statement for Prince George and several areas in the region (including Stuart – Nechako, McGregor, Williston, Bulkley Valley and the Lakes District, B.C. Peace River, and Highway 97 – Pine Pass)
A low-pressure system moving through northern B.C. will cause strong, gusty winds to develop today.
Winds from the south or southwest at 40-50 km/h gusting to 70-80 km/h are expected.
These winds may toss loose objects or cause small tree branches to break.
The strong winds will ease this evening.
