Gas station robbery in Fort St. James Tuesday

There was a robbery at the Nahounli Creek Gas Bar, or “Fas Gas,” in Fort St. James last night around 10 o’clock.

Police describe the suspect as a 5’7″ or 5’8″ man wearing a black balaclava, dark hoodie, extra large, light jeans, and white work gloves. He “may be Caucasian,” and possibly has blue eyes.

The suspect told the cashier “Give me the cash.” He was confronted by two employees but managed to get behind the counter, rip out the till, and take off. There was an undisclosed amount of money in the till.

RCMP believe there was a getaway car. The possible car was a newer, dark pickup truck, without a canopy. Police think it could’ve been a Ford F150.

Police think it was parked on Birch Street and took off toward either Douglas Street or Stuart Drive.

Police say there wasn’t a weapon involved nor were there any injuries.

The Fort St. James RCMP and the Forensic Identification Section from Prince George are investigating. Both are asking the public to report anything suspicious they saw, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to them regarding the incident.
