The latest job numbers survey was very kind to BC.
Stats Canada Analyst, Andrew Fields says the province led the way in two areas.
“British Columbia was the only province to post employment gains in June it was up 16,000 just a month to month basis while the unemployment rate is 5.9% which is the lowest in Canada.”
BC’s job growth also grew by 70,000 in the past year which equates to 3.6 %.
This trumps Canada’s employment growth of 0.6% over the past year.
The unemployment rate in Canada is also higher than BC’s at 6.8%.
