Building Illegally could cost you $100,000

Even with the nicer weather, the Province is reminding you that you need permission to build on Crown Land.

Illegally building things like hunting cabins, ski huts, and houses could lead to a fine up to $100,000.

These possibly unsafe structures could harm the environment, and disrupt wildlife habitat and sensitive plant ecosystems. They can also negatively affect legitimate uses of Crown land and its resources.

On top of a fine, the Province could seize your improvements, goods, or materials, and bill you for any clean-up.
