After some time away, the snow is making a brief return to Vanderhoof.
Temperatures will remain mild in the low minuses for the rest of the week.
Jennifer Hay with Environment Canada spoke with My Nechako Valley Now this morning on the return of the snow.
“We’re looking at two to four centimetres today with the temperature hovering around minus four. Continuing on throughout the day the snow will last through the night and should end tomorrow morning.”
While the temperatures are a lot milder then they’ve been, we still can’t shake the arctic air.
“We just don’t seem to be able to get rid of that arctic air really, there is a front moving through the region today and it probably won’t be as cold as we’ve seen the past few weeks as we will have that blanket of snow and cloud around. For Wednesday, we will see a daily high of minus seven.”
She expects the northern capital to see some clearing on Wednesday and Thursday before another system rolls in on Friday.
