Fraser Lake is trying to figure out what it will do once the SuperValu closes.
Mayor Dwayne Lindstrom says there hasn’t been a lot of time to plan ahead.
“Well, they should’ve at least given us a little more notice to give somebody some time to try and put stuff together. It’s almost impossible to get another store in there in a month,” he says.
Vanderhoof Mayor Gerry Thiessen says if Fraser Lake is hurting, so is the region.

“We operate as three communities so whenever you see one part of your region or your family or your body not doing well, it affects everything.”
Parent company Loblaw says the store was underperforming and is closing it on June 18th.
