Air Quality advisory extended for a good chunk of the north

It’s day two of the most recent Air Quality Advisory for a large portion of Northern BC.

The announcement was made yesterday by Northern Health and the Ministry of Environment due to a higher than normal amount of fine particulate matter in the air.

Prince George, Houston, Smithers and, Vanderhoof are the affected communities.

Exposure is mostly a concern for babies, seniors and those with lung or heart disease.
