Victim named in fatal Vanderhoof house fire

The BC Coroners Service has released the name of a man who died in a Vanderhoof house fire last month.

Just before 5am on April 23rd firefighters responded to a residential fire on Smedley Drive after being alerted by neighbours. After extinguishing the flames, 51 year old Donald Pippy was found deceased at the scene.

The Vanderhoof Fire Department says the cause of the blaze is undetermined. The BC Coroners Service continues to investigate.
